After a year-long split, Kobe Bryant is ready to give marriage with wife Vanessa another shot. The couple announced their decision to get back together on social media.
"We are pleased to announce that we have reconciled," Vanessa Bryant posted on Instagram this Friday. "Our divorce action will be dismissed. We are looking forward to our future together."
The Bryants? marriage was shaken up after Kobe admitted to infidelity in 2003. The L.A. Lakers star was charged with sexually assaulting a woman in Colorado. Kobe insisted that he thought the sex was consensual. The 19-year-old who was involved in the case didn?t want to go ahead with the trial, so the charges were later dropped.
Vanessa Bryant stood by her man throughout the proceedings, saying that the only thing he was guilty of was ?the mistake of adultery.?
In 2005, the player dropped $50,000 on a recommitment ceremony with his wife.
Still, in December 2011, Vanessa decided to pull the plug on her decade-long marriage to the five-time NBA champion guard. She filed for divorce, citing ?irreconcilable differences.?
Vanessa asked for joint custody of the Bryants? two daughters ? Natalia, 9, and Gianna, 6.

Despite the split, Vanessa and her two children were often spotted at Kobe?s games during the past year. TMZ snapped a pic of Kobe kissing Vanessa before making his way to the locker room after a Valentine's Day game. The family would often leave the Staples Center together.
On Jan. 9, Kobe tweeted out a pouty pic of his wife.
?Goodnight/good luck kiss from my shorty rock.? he wrote.
Less than an hour before the Lakers played against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, Kobe confirmed that the divorce was canceled by posting this message on his Facebook page.
"I am happy to say that Vanessa and I are moving on with our lives together as a family. When the show ends and the music stops, the journey is made beautiful by having that someone to share it with. Thank you all for your support and prayers! Much luv, Mamba out," the Facebook post said.

This is Bryant?s 17th season with the Lakers. He?s currently the fifth-leading scorer in NBA history. He is leading the NBA in scoring this season, and is very likely to play in his 15th NBA All-Star game next month in Houston.
Bryant met his wife at a music video shoot in 1999 when she was 18 years old. The pair were engaged six months later.
