Rockwood Service Corporation is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer to lead its human capital initiatives. The individual in this position will be the principal architect of the company?s human resource strategy. He/she must, above all, be a business partner to the CEO, the COO and the executive committee. As ?human capital? is the company?s most valuable asset, this person must understand the alignment of the business strategy, with its talent needs and can build the organizational structure, systems and processes to ensure the company?s success in a competitive marketplace by hiring, developing and retaining top talent.

In order to create the next generation of leaders, the head of HR will be intently focused on talent acquisition, management, ongoing assessment methods, career development, performance management processes and retention tools in order to develop the existing employee base and attract external talent to the organization to meet the firms? growth initiatives and create a high performance, high value-based culture.

The ultimate goals of the HR organization are:

  • Serve as a business partner to the President, COO and senior management team ensuring that HR programs are aligned with the business strategy and drive performance across the entire organization.
  • Attract and retain excellent people. With the increased focus on talent and performance management, play a key role in attracting, motivating and rewarding top talent.? Build the human capital of the organization through career path planning, training and developmental assignments that prepare individuals to achieve their maximum potential.
  • With managers, develop a strategy regarding succession planning and the development of high potential leaders that align employee skills, talents and interests with the company?s strategic objectives.
  • Design a shared services HR organization that supports the human capital needs for each of Rockwood?s wholly owned subsidiaries
  • Strengthen the company by creating and employing the most efficient? HR processes and systems and provide analytics and data to support decision making
  • Oversee progressive, proactive and cost effective compensation and rewards programs, including long-term compensation, annual incentive plans, salary administration and benefits programs.?
  • Upgrade the Human Resources Information System platform

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have a more than 15 years of progressive human resources experience with organizations noted for their reputation for HR excellence and where the person served as the primary human capital agent for change. Prior knowledge and experience with an organization focused on talent acquisition, management and development is an absolute must.? The successful candidate must be a seasoned global Human Resource strategist and leader who brings a ?hands-on approach and is known for ?getting things done.?

  • Must have a strong track record with one or more leading global businesses serving as a business partner to the senior management team in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate success in designing a strategy and implementing programs/processes that attract, retain, develop and reward talent and are linked to business objectives.
  • Prior experience building a shared services organization that supports different businesses with a widely geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Must be a business partner-able to grasp the business and economic issues and develop the best HR solution to grow the business.
  • Must know how to think about what doesn?t exist today and design/build it.
  • Must possess a high sense of urgency and a record of on-time delivery of projects.
  • Must be an exceptional communicator across the entire organization and experienced in corporate communication programs

  • Knowledge of the most sophisticated HR thinking/tools currently available is required.
  • Prior experience in the assessment and integration of potential mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures is preferred
  • Must be an individual with strong character and personal values.???????
  • An MBA or advanced degree in human resources is preferred.
